The Lake Mills City Council will meet tonight in City Council Chambers at 7pm to discuss several items effecting the city. The first of these will be a presentation by Brady Gatton of the Project Citizen Class on e-cigarettes. This will be followed by Susanne Gerlach, of Public Financial Management who will review financials and discuss water and sewer rates.
The city must then discuss and possibly approve the Lake Mills General Insurance Package for city employees and then authorize payment. Discussion will also focus on the Employee Health and Life Insurance.
After looking into and approving or denying various permits including a liquor permit for Cruisers Route 69 Lounge and for Dollar General, the council will discuss rates on concession stands and the city wide spring clean-up.
The city must then authorize the transfer of funds from the Community Education Fund to the General Cash Fund and authorize the creation of a position of a general laborer for the city.
The city will conclude the meeting by hearing reports from Mayor Steffens, Police Chief Thomas, the Director of Public Works, and the City Clerk.
