Sunday Review: Import Beef Report

IMPORT BEEF TRADE

Compared to Last Week:  Market activity on imports was moderate.
Prices were sharply higher for the boneless lean and 1.00 to 3.00
higher for trimmings. Domestic lean prices continued to trade sharply
higher. Extremely cold weather conditions continued to hamper
transportation. Weaker food service demand continued to be offset
by strong retail demand. Imported supplies were very light.
