The Belmond-Klemme Broncos defeated the Lake Mills Bulldogs for the Class 1A District 3 title Thursday night 79-64. The Broncos pulled away from a 5 point halftime lead to lead 62-40 after 3 quarters.  Elijah Kinseth led the way with 25 points on 9 of 11 shooting, with Caleb Torkelson adding 23, and Court Christianson 15. The Bulldogs were led by Granger Kingland’s 17.  Lake Mills ends their season at 16-7, while the Broncos move to 21-3 and take on Gladbrook-Reinbeck Saturday night in Hampton in the substate final.  Join Orin Harris for the live play by play from Hampton, with pregame tomorrow night of 6:55, and tipoff of 7 pm.  The Clear Lake Lions fell to Waverly-Shell Rock for the 4th consecutive year 60-58 Thursday night.  Spencer Davidson had 18 and Pete Swenson 16 for the Lions, who end their season at 21-2.
