The Forest City boys basketball team moved their North Iowa Conference record to 9-0 with an 63-45 win over North Iowa Friday night in conference action.  Erich Erdman led the way with 27 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. Isaiah Loeschen had 14 points and 5 rebounds, while Jordan True added 10 points and 6 rebounds.  Dylan Voortman had 16 points for North Iowa.  Other Friday boys basketball scores:

The Forest City girls basketball team defeated North Iowa 53-42 Friday night. Sarri Happel had 14, Rachel Koch and Maggie Mathiasen 12 points each, and Amanda Wilson had 11.  Other Friday girls basketball scores:

Saturday, the Forest City boys basketball team moved to 12-3 overall with an 80-70 win over Algona high school. Erich Erdman went over 1,000 points in his career, leading the way with 35 points, 12 rebound and 3 assists. Isaiah Loeschen had 17 and Jordan True 11.  Forest City hosts Lake Mills tomorrow night.  Other Saturday boys basketball scores:

The Forest City wrestling team finished 2nd at the Riceville tournament with 117 points, behind Crestwood.  Beau Sorenson at 160, Jake Staudt at 182, and Tyler Putney at 285 were champions.

 

Noah Irons won the 152 pound title at the North Butler invitational for the Lake Mills wrestling team. Luke Worden of Belmond-Klemme was champion at 285.

 

Webster City won the North Central Conference wrestling tournament with 203 points. Clarion-Goldfield was 2nd with 198, Clear Lake had 171, Humboldt 164, and Algona was 5th with 125.
