Upper Iowa University has expanded its online master’s degree program for business to include face-to-face options.
The private school located in northeast Iowa says it has begun offering classroom options at selected centers with evening and weekend hours. Students can also combine daytime and evening classes.
The university says enrollment in the online program has increased by 46 percent in the past year. Kristopher Blanchard, an associate professor of business and chair of the Master of Business Administration program, says there’s a student demand for face-to-face interactions.
The expanded options could allow a student to accelerate his or her studies and complete the program in just over a year.
Courses in the new program began Jan. 6. Registration for the next eight-week term of classes begins Jan. 20.
