The Forest City girls basketball team upset undefeated Osage in North Iowa Conference action Friday night 40-38. In a game heard on KIOW, the Indians got a 3 point shot from Amanda Wilson to take the lead, and Osage’s tying shot fell after the buzzer sounded. Forest City was led by Sarri Happel’s 14 points. Saturday, the Forest City Wrestling team finished 3rd at the Clear Lake Invitational with 156 points. Charles City was team champion with 257, and Clear Lake had 196. Beau Sorenson at 160, Alex Paulson at 220, and Tyler Putney at 285 all won titles, while Andrew Mettry finished 2nd at 106.

The Forest City boys fell to second ranked Clear Lake 68-64 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon. The Indians got 29 points from Erich Erdman, while Isaiah Loeschen added 13. The Lake Mills Wrestling team went 3-2 at the Hampton-Dumont Duals Saturday, defeating Hudson 48-30, Northwood-Kensett 42-31, and East Buchanan 51-27, and fell to Central Springs 44-30 and Hampton-Dumont 42-33.
The Osage Wrestling team won the Winterset Tournament with 220 points and 6 champions.

The Waldorf Men’s basketball team had 5 players score in double figures as the Warriors upset number 9 Bellevue University Saturday evening 83-73. Trey Scott led with 18 points, while Erik Brewer had 17, Jordan Nelson and Gunsby DeJohnett had 15 points each, and Aaron Carpenter added 11. Waldorf is now 7-5 overall.
