Temperatures plummet across the area, advisories in effect

Winter-roads

North Iowans were enjoying a beautiful Saturday with temperatures peaking out in the mid 30′s to the lower 40′s. If you didn’t have a chance to enjoy the above normal temps, you’re out of luck for the foreseeable future.

The National Weather Service has posted Wind Chill Advisories across the entire listening area until noon on Monday. The weather service reports that temps will continue to plummet into the early morning hours of Sunday with little to no relief Sunday or Sunday night. Wind chills could dip between -20 to -30 at times.

Highs early this week will struggle to get above 5 degrees in areas. Snow is forecast across the area on Tuesday which could bring anywhere from 2 to as much as 5 inches of accumulations. Keep updated on the latest forecasts for updates.

Chris Berg

Chris was born and raised in Webster City, IA. As a young kid, he would always be caught singing along to songs on the radio. He says he's good at karaoke but we think otherwise. ;) In his free time, he enjoys beginning new projects at home and hardly ever finishing them. Chris lives in Charles City with his significant other Vicki and a daughter Brynlee.
