The Northwood City Council Wants to Raise Water Rates

At the City Council meeting in Northwood, councilmembers wrangled with a much needed rate increase so that costs for the improvements to the water system might be covered. Several proposals were forwarded, but after the debate concluded, a final resolution was arrived at. In the proposal, it states that a very small user will see an additional $9 more per month in rates, a medium user will pay $13 more per month, and a heavier user will have to pay $2.50 per month for every 1,000 gallons used  over 3,000 gallons.

The council will revisit the issue at the next council meeting.
