The Forest City Indian boys basketball team knocked the Lake Mills Bulldogs from the ranks of the unbeaten Tuesday night, as a 21-4 run in the 3rd quarter opened up a tight ball game, and the Indians held on for a 77-64 win in Lake Mills.  In a game heard on KIOW, Forest City was led by Erich Erdman’s 33 points, while Jordan True had 13 and Isaiah Loeschen and Ethan Erdman each had 10.  Hunter Kingland had 16 and Paul Pins 13 for the Bulldogs, who are now 6-1 overall. 

The West Hancock boys basketball team fell to Belmond-Klemme 75-62 Tuesday night. In a game heard on B103.1, Colin Lane had 25 points, Caleb Torkelson and Court Christianson 15 each for the Broncos, while Nathan Paulus and Trevor Nalan each had 12 for the Eagles.  Other Tuesday boys basketball scores:

The Forest City girls basketball team defeated Lake Mills 46-32 Tuesday night.  Sarri Happel had 17 points for the Indians, while Mary Evans led the Bulldogs with 11 points.  The West Hancock girls defeated Belmond-Klemme 53-45 Tuesday night. In a game heard on B103.1, Kealey Johnson had 11 and Maria Gonzalez 10 for the Eagles, while Olivia Kuhlers had 17 and Mackenzie Tenold 14 for the  Broncos.  Other girls basketball scores:

The Forest City wrestling team defeated Garner-Hayfield/Ventura and Central Springs in a double dual Tuesday night.  The Indians defeated Garner-Hayfield/Ventura 57-18, with Tyler Putney at 285, Andrew Mettry at 120, Pierce Gelhaus at 126, Maverick Freerksen at 132, and Beau Sorenson at 170 getting falls.  The Indians also defeated Central Springs 39-34, as Beau Sorenson defeated Kegen Fingalsen of Central Springs 6-4 in overtime at 160 to seal the victory. Forest City wrestles at the North Polk Invitational on Saturday.
