Officials with the Hancock County Health System say they have about 40 doses left of the mist vaccine for the flu. The vaccines can administered to anyone who is between the ages of 2 years old and 49 years old. The flu vaccine, according to officials, is the best way to avoid getting the bug. However there are steps you can take to prevent from getting it. The first is to wash hands especially after contact with someone. Use hand sanitizers if soap and water are not available. Sneezing into a shirt sleeve instead of into your hands can prevent the disease from spreading.

Those who are interested in getting one of the last remaining doses of vaccine can contact either the Britt Medical Clinic or the Garner Medical Clinic either in person or by phone. The Britt Clinic number is 641-843-5050.
