Hancock County Wellness Coalition Sets 2014 Goals

The Hancock County Wellness Coalition has set its goals for 2014. The organization was set up with the mission to make Hancock County a healthier place to live and work.

The organization partners with the Iowa State Extension Service, the Garner Ambulance Service, the Britt Food Bank, the Hancock County Health system, NIACC, the Britt and Garner Community School Districts and their respective Chambers of Commerce to pool resources to accomplish the mission.

Chairperson Dr. Angela McGregor outlined those goals for KIOW News:

The coalition has meetings every second Tuesday of the month rotating locations between the Education Center in Garner and the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt. The meetings are open to the public and you should call the coalition for times and locations.
