Kensett Man Pleads Guilty to Vehicular Homicide Charges

Michael Chodur of Kensett has plead guilty to charges stemming from an accident in September of 2012. Chodur was following Lynn Weedman of Glenville, Minnesota on County Road A39 when Weedman stopped and Chodur allegedly rear ended Weedman. The impact was so severe that Weedman had to be transported to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinic in Iowa City. He later died from the injuries he sustained in the crash.

The court will now take the plea into consideration when pronouncing sentence. The court has ordered a pre-sentence investigation on the case and will then determine a date to pronounce sentence. Chodur remains in the county jail awaiting the sentencing.
