The Forest City School Board met on Tuesday to discuss issues relating to the improvement of facilities and to hear from programs within the school.
The board heard from the Speech and Drama departments on the success of the program so far and they also got a chance to hear from some of the speech competitors in the program. Forest City Community School District Superintendent Darwin Lehman explains:
The board also reviewed the progress on the Engineering classes offered at the school. The district received a grant from 3M Corporation to build the program and the board got a chance to see how well the money is being used. Overall, the board was impressed with the progress of the program. Superintendent Lehman described for KIOW News how the presentation went.:
The board then got a chance to put the final review on the capital improvements to the Forest City High school and Junior High school. Superintendent Lehman reviewed for KIOW News what that project entails:
The board meets again in January to approve the plan.
