The Forest City boys’ and girls’ basketball teams swept a non-conference doubleheader from Estherville-Lincoln Central Thursday night in Forest City.  The boys’ defeated the Midgets 80-52, as Erich Erdman scored 27 points, while sophomore Mitch Lambert added 12 and Isaiah Loeschen 11.  The Forest City girls defeated Estherville-Lincoln Central 56-34 behind 24 points from Sarri Happel. It was Forest City’s first win of the season.  Rachel Koch added 11 points.  Both teams host Newman Catholic tonight. The Forest City wrestling team picked up two dual meet victories Thursday night in the season opener, as they defeated conference rival West Hancock 74-6 and Emmetsburg 58-18.  Emmetsburg won the 3rd dual meet 57-21.  For the Indians, Tyler Putney at 285, Andrew Mettry at 106, Blake Jacobs at 113, Pierce Gelhaus at 126, Tristan Boehm at 138, Austin Lewis at 152, Beau Sorenson at 160, Tyler Brock at 170, Jake Staudt at 182, Tyler Prescott at 195, and Alex Paulson at 220 all went 2-0.  Other wrestling scores from Thursday:
