The West Hancock Eagles boys basketball team put up a fight against the Northwood Kensett Vikings and it showed taking a 16-8 lead after the first quarter. Nathan Paulus had 14 points going into halftime and led the Eagles with 29 points in the game. The Eagles went ahead 38 to 29 at halftime, but started to make mistakes in passing and shot selection allowing the Vikings to come within 6 points at 49-43 by the end of the third quarter. Paulus then went a perfect 11 for 11 from the free throw line while the Eagles allowed just 12 points in the fourth quarter on route to an 80 – 55 win over the Vikings at Northwood Kensett. The Vikings now drop to 1-1 while the Eagles remain unbeaten at 2-0.
