The Winnebago County Conservation Board has reopened the Hogsback wildlife Area Target Range which is just 3 miles northwest of Lake Mills. The remodeling is done after moving forward with Phase 2 of the Shooting Berm Construction Project.
The project involved adding additional target backstops and berms to the range and repairing handgun backstops which have been apparently vandalized.
During the project, the public was not allowed on the range for their safety and for the safety of the construction crew. Anyone who witnesses irresponsible target range shooting should contact the Winnebago County Conservation Board.
